Diallyl Phthalate (DAP) is a thermoset of the allyl family used as a cross-linking monomer for unsaturated polyesters, and as a primary plasticizer for many resins. Glass-reinforced DAP combines excellent temperature resistance with high mechanical and electrical properties and excellent hydrolysis resistance. Other types of fibers including acrylic, polyester and other fibers are also used to impart other characteristics.
