High Density PE (HDPE)

One of a family of resins obtained by polymerizing the gas ethylene. Polymers with densities ranging from about .941 to .965 are called high density polyethylene. The high density types are polymerized at relatively low temperatures and pressures.

Horn is not a plastic, but it has plastic qualities. It can be formed, shaped and worked into various products, and some of these same manufacturing  techniques were incorporated by the early plastics industry.
